Reading corner
A quieter corner for reading
The invented brief asks for a compact reading corner with a clear threshold and a legible wall of shelves. The drawing should show the relationship between storage and a place to pause.
Drawing decisions
The shelving plane is turned towards the viewer. A deep blue recess provides contrast against warm surfaces, while a limited line system keeps the image calm at a smaller size.
Viewpoint and limits
The oblique view prioritises a sense of enclosure. Shelf positions are compositional elements, not a fabrication drawing; a commissioned view would rely on agreed geometry and material references.
